Discipleship Groups

Growth through authentic community

Discipleship Groups and our church family

Acton Baptist is focused on building authentic community.  One of the ways we build that is through groups who study Scripture together.  Find one of our groups that meet on Sunday. We have groups that meet at 9:00am and 10:30am so you can join in worship together after opening up the Bible and studying.

Our New Believers Class is designed to help you grow in your faith, understand the foundations of Christianity, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Discipleship Groups for Preschool and Children Ministries begin with teaching the Bible through Lifeway’s Gospel Project Curriculum.  The Gospel Project's weekly Bible study helps kids dive deep into the big story of the Bible—God’s plan to rescue His people from sin through His Son, Jesus Christ.  Kids learn how a relationship with God through Jesus Christ helps them to see the world according to God’s plan and seek out friendships centered around Biblical principles.  Parent Bible study classes use an adult version of the same Gospel Project studies to help families continue meaningful conversations in the car ride home and into the week.

Our nursery provides a safe, loving environment where even the youngest children begin to experience God’s love through care, play, and simple truths.

24 Months - Kindergarten

9:00/10:30

Each Sunday, our younger kids enjoy two engaging sessions designed to help them grow in faith and joy. The first session features worship, songs, and hands-on activities that teach simple truths about God’s love. In the second session, children participate in a Bible lesson from The Gospel Project, helping them begin to understand God’s big story and His plan of salvation. These lessons align with the Parents with Children discipleship groups, allowing parents to have meaningful conversations with their children about what they learned each week. The corresponding parent groups can be found in the Family Life tab.

1st - 5th Grade

9:00/10:30

Our children’s ministry offers two dynamic sessions each Sunday. The first session includes a time of worship, music, and interactive activities that encourage children to praise God and build friendships. The second session uses The Gospel Project to guide students through the Bible chronologically, showing how every story points to Jesus and helps them apply God’s truth to everyday life. These lessons correspond with the Parents with Children discipleship groups, giving families the opportunity to connect and discuss how God’s Word applies to their lives together. The corresponding parent groups can be found in the Family Life tab.

9:00am

This class uses Lifeway’s Hyfi curriculum to guide students in grades 6–12 through engaging, Bible-centered lessons that emphasize real-life application. Each week, students will explore God’s Word and discover how its truth speaks into their everyday experiences—at school, at home, and in their relationships. Through discussion, Scripture study, and relevant activities, teens will be encouraged to grow in their faith and live out biblical principles in practical ways. There is a corresponding parent group found in the Family Life tab.
