Preschool Director and Family Ministry Assistant
Wendy wears a couple of hats at Acton Baptist—she coordinates volunteers and leads programs in the Preschool Department, including Preschool Worship, Sunday School, and Wednesday night AWANA for Cubbies and 1st-grade Sparks, and she also serves as a friendly first contact in the church office, providing administrative support to the Youth, Children’s, and Preschool departments.
She’s passionate about creating an environment where preschoolers can begin to understand and accept Jesus as their personal Savior. Preschoolers are truly “her people,” and she loves their literal thinking, trusting hearts, and openness to God’s love.
Wendy and her husband Donnie met in a singles group at a church in Lakeside, Texas, and married in 1994. They have four children: Chad, Jenna, Mandi, and Faith. When she’s not teaching or helping in the office, Wendy enjoys French vanilla coffee in the mornings, unsweetened iced tea with lemon in the afternoons, and making people laugh.
She loves being part of ABC because it’s such a great place to raise a family, surrounded by talented people who have a heart for ministry and genuinely love serving others.
