Senior Pastor

I grew up the son of a Southern Baptist Music Minister and my Father served Churches across West and Central Texas as I was growing up. I went to high school in Brownwood Texas, college at West Texas A&M and Seminary at Southwestern BTS in Ft. Worth. I worked in radio, marketing and advertising in DFW for several years before I was called to preach. I'm excited about being the pastor at Acton Baptist and look forward to what God is going to do here in His Church.

Associate Pastor of Discipleship

David joined the ABC family in January of 2022 after spending 27 years in ministry to youth and children. He and his wife, Kathy, have three fantastic children, Emily, Hope, and Nate. David oversees adult discipleship and is passionate to see families grow together in Christ. In 1996, David graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin with a Bachelors in Humanities, certified to teach secondary education in English, Social Studies, and History. In 2004, he earned a Masters of Arts in Christian Education with a concentration in Youth Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. David has recently returned to retool and is enrolled in the Masters of Divinity  program at SWBTS.

Children's Pastor

Scott joined the ABC family in 2015, serving previously throughout Texas since 1995.  He and his wife, Pam, have two daughters, Rebekah and Lauren. Scott’s passion is discipling children and their families, watching children grow in the Lord and becoming everything He has designed them to be, and encouraging parents to become the spiritual champions of their home.  Scott graduated from the University of North Texas in 1998 with a Bachelors in Business Administration and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998 with a Masters in Religious Education, concentrated in childhood ministry.

Youth Pastor

Josh joined the ABC family in March of 2022, previously serving in churches in Texas and Arkansas since 2010. He and his wife, Kay, have one child, Kaylyn, who has been the unofficial youth group mascot of his ministry since 2014. Josh is a discipleship-focused leader who strives to not only train up teenagers, but assist their parents in the discipleship process of their kids. Josh graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2009 with a Bachelors in Christian Ministry and from Luther Rice Seminary in 2017 with a Masters of Divinity.
